Welcome Back to A New School Year!
又是一年开学季，荟同学子在九月的金色阳光里迎来了新的学年。尽管反复的疫情状况，让大家在过去两周的大部分时间都无法在校园相聚，但是透过老师们的屏幕，我们依然看见了一张张青春洋溢的笑脸，感受着孩子们无穷的活力。终于在9月15、16日，我们迎来了孩子们的返校复学，空荡的校园里再次充满了大家的欢声笑语。
Another academic year full of excitement and possibilities has begun. Although we have not been able to meet on campus as much as we had hoped over the past two weeks due to the epidemic, teachers and students have gotten to know each other through the screen and have started their learning journey together. We have remotely felt the energy of the children. This week, we heard the good news of returning to school and finally saw the smiling faces of the children in school again!
当天清晨，校长和老师们早早来到校门口，热烈迎接同学们的归来、欢迎每一位新加入荟同大家庭的孩子们。在咖啡吧，「荟同晨间音乐」迎来重启，明亮动听的歌声为返校首日的师生们提供了无穷的能量。一个假期未见的孩子们更是兴奋不已，迈着雀跃的脚步前往新教室。
In the morning, our chancellor and teachers came early and waited for the children at the school gate. "Barista Musica" was restarted at the coffee bar, and the music provided endless energy for us on the first day back to school. The children who hadn't seen each other for the holidays were excited and enthusiastically went to their new classrooms. Welcome back, everyone!
在9月1日线上开学典礼上，Jim Hawkins校长以视频致辞，热情地欢迎同学们步入新学年。他期待大家顺利投入校园生活，成为一名真正的贡献者。
At the opening ceremony, our Chancellor, Mr. Jim Hawkins, encouraged students of all grades to "throw yourself into school life and be a real contributor."
在各班的开学第一课上，班主任们诉说了对新学期的新期待，带领同学们认识各科老师和新同学，让大家介绍自己，互相分享精彩的暑假生活。一些班级还进行了趣味十足的破冰小游戏，比如在6A班课堂里，郭彦君老师就组织了一场“Bingo之王大挑战”，帮助大家认真聆听彼此，在自我介绍和分享中寻找共同点。
At the beginning of each class, teachers asked their students to make plans for the new semester, introduce themselves and share their exciting summer holiday moments. Some classes had fun in ice-breaking games. For example, in Class 6A, Ms. Kate Guo organized a game called "King of the Bingo" to help students listen carefully to each other and find common ground by introducing themselves.
荟同教师团队一如既往带着饱满的热情，启动了新学期的教学工作。在线上教学期间，许多学生们就已经逐渐适应了新学期的作息时间，紧跟老师们的步伐，在课堂里表现活跃：为了让孩子们更快投入课堂，语文老师许佳慧精心制作了一本《小黄人中国游记》绘本，带领孩子们一同游历名山大川，认识传统节庆；数学课里，同学们则在温故知新中开启了新学期的学习；英语第一单元奇幻文学（Fantasy）激发出了大家无穷的想象力，令人倍加期待未来更多优秀创作的产出……
As always, our teachers have started the new semester with great enthusiasm. In fact, during the online learning period, many students have already settled into the new semester schedule and been very active in the classroom.To quickly engage her students, Ms. Kate Xu created a picture book called "Little Yellow Man's Travels in China." Through this book, she took the class on a 'tour' of famous mountains and rivers and introduced them to traditional Chinese festivals. In a math class, the students reviewed what they had learned previously and prepared for the next unit. The first theme of English class, Fantasy, rouses massive curiosity among students. We look forward to seeing their innovative works soon...

在网课期间，许多老师为了更好的课堂效果，在严格遵守疫情防范的各项要求的前提下，坚持返校上课。不少班级的老师在学生返校前，还利用课余时间将教室布置一新，以整洁温馨的班级环境，迎接同学们的到来。周四、周五返校后，课堂里的氛围更是倍加活跃，老师们全情投入教学，毫无保留地将知识传授给学生。行走在校园，被琅琅书声萦绕，才真正让人感受到「我们开学了」。
During the online study period, many teachers applied to work on campus to give their students a sense of familiarity while strictly adhering to epidemic prevention requirements. The day before the back-to-school day, teachers set up their classrooms neatly and beautifully. When the students returned, the atmosphere in every class was even more active, and the teachers were fully engaged in teaching. Only when we walk around the campus and are surrounded by the sound of books can we genuinely feel that "we are enjoying a brand new school year."
相信无论在任何时期，荟同大家庭之间的相互支持和帮助，都将成为每个人汲取力量的源泉。身处这个充满不确定的时期，就让我们及时调整适应，积极拥抱变化，共同享受这个美好的新学年吧！
We believe that the mutual support of community members will be a source of strength for everyone, no matter what happens. In such a time of uncertainty, let's adjust and adapt, embrace the changes, and enjoy the new school year together!
