I hope everyone had a relaxing Golden week.
在此我很高兴地与大家分享表演艺术部新的喜讯。我们的打击乐学生Edison同学在英皇音乐8级考试中获得145（满分150分）的好成绩。与其他乐器的英皇考试不同的是，打击乐的考试会考核候选人3种语气，分别为：小军鼓、定音鼓和马林巴。在这三种乐器的考试中，Edison的定音鼓成绩为满分。大多数学校甚至没有定音鼓，更不用说有学生能将这种重要的管弦乐器演奏到如此高的水平。我们向Edison同学表示热烈的祝贺！
I am pleased to share another outstanding achievement from our Performing Arts students. Percussionist Edison Chen recently scored 145/150 on his ABRSM Grade 8 exam. Unlike most music exams, a percussion exam assesses a candidate on three instruments - snare drum, timpani and marimba. Moreover, Edison scored a full mark on his timpani piece. Most schools do not even have timpani let along to have students who can play this essential orchestral instrument to such a high level. Many congratulations to Edison! 👏👏👏
