Dear Huitong Students and Parents,
11月快乐! 很难相信我们的第一学期已经过去了一半！
Happy November! It is hard to believe we are already half through the first semester!

Our Barista series is on track to break last semester’s record of 12 weeks. It is wonderful to see our students willing to share their passion for music, dance and drama with the school community. Please reach out to any member of the Performing Arts team if you are interested in performing in this live-streamed event.
热烈祝贺G11班小提琴手Alice Pak在ABRSM英皇8级小提琴考试中取得146分的优异成绩（总分为150分）。Alice在演绎美国最著名的非洲裔小提琴家Clarence White的美国乐曲时获得了满分。收到荟同学生音乐家的优秀成绩是非常美妙的。如果你的孩子参加了考试或参加了比赛，请告诉我们，我们很愿意在这里分享和庆祝我们学生的成就。
Many congratulations to G11 violinist Alice Pak for an exceptional 146/150 on her ABRSM Grade 8 Violin exam. Alice scored a full mark for her rendition of an American spiritual by the most famous African American violinist Clarence White. It is wonderful to receive outstanding results from Huitong musicians. If your child took exams or participated in competitions, please let us know. We would love to share and celebrate our students’ achievements here.

Our G12 musicians already submitted all their UK applications and now turn their attention to getting ready for their US applications. I want to thank the PA team for their Herculean effort in providing all the support each student needs to submit the strongest possible portfolio – personal statements, rehearsals, accompaniment, recording sessions and introduction video. Our students are extremely fortunate to have a committed team of teachers who are able to assist with all aspects of this complex and important process “in-house”.
